I start a thread about Sete almost torpedoing Nicky and it morphs back
into the stale Provencial Euromed, American, Aussie agreement, even
though that seems to happen quite often here, it wasn't what I had in
mind. How about this? In the various classes below, list who you believe
were the best in whatever period, whether they ever achieved "stardom"
doesn't matter.
Road Racers-
TT Racers-
MX(SX) Racers-
Dirt Track Racers-
Speedway Racers-
Drag Racers-
If you've never been to a drag race, or dirt track, or whatever, it
doesn't matter, just what you think does.
This ought to be "interesting," if not somewhat revealing....
And in no partictular order;
Road- Agostini, Sheene, Rayborn, Roberts, Spencer, Rainey, Doohan,
Mladin, Duhamel and what's his name, er, Rossi....
TT- Dunlop(duh?) is there anyone else?
MX- Carmicheal, Bayle, McGrath, Bailey, Hannah..?
Dirt- Resweber, Leonard, Springer, Graham, Parker, Carr....
Speedway- Hancock, Adams, Farndon, Rickardsson and of course Penhall...
Drag- A. Hines, Sampley, Brown, Puckett, (me? nah!)

What about ISDT? I had the good fortune of getting to know Leroy
Winters for a few years before he passed away in 1999.

Without any doubt and if I offended any trials people, it was not
intentional. I realize there are many forms of M/C events, that's why I
wrote it didn't matter. I have never witnessed a trial, I have seen
trial riders and know they make it look soooo damn easy! Yeah, try it,
or maybe not! So who do you feel was/is the greatest?
