MISSION STATEMENT:
Founded in 2005, Lady Liberty MC stands for Individual Freedom is a
non-partisan, non-profit organization with the mission to protect and
defend individual freedoms and individual rights guaranteed by the U.S.
Constitution. Lady Liberty MC seeks to focus public, legislative, and
judicial attention on the rule of law as embodied in the federal and
state constitutions. Those fundamental documents both express and
safeguard society's commitment to individual freedom, not only through
specific protections such as the Bill of Rights, but also through
structural protections that constrain and disperse governmental
authority. In addition, Lady Liberty MC seeks to foster intellectual
discourse by bringing together independent thinkers to examine
broad-ranging issues of individual freedom in our global society. While
Lady Liberty MC is decidedly for individual freedom, scholars and legal
authorities who share that same basic philosophy differ as to the
application of those principles in the complex world in which we live.
Lady Liberty MC strives for balanced debate that encourages conflict
resolution where there is tension between the rights of individuals and
the requirements of government, as well as between individuals. As law
abiding citizens (many of us current ot retired Law Enforcement Agents
or Military Veterans), we stand tall and united as we are guaranteed
the right to associate with whomever and wear whatever, without
permission, discrimination, or censorship from any organization or
government agency. We are proud that we are a neutral organization
that allows all riders to unite in a brotherhood and sisterhood to help
bring about a reminder and awareness of our inalienable rights, and
still be human beings that love to ride, all with differing views.
Hopefully, our visability will help bring all patch holders and the
overall community (as a whole) together to recognize that we are
regular citizens like everyone else. We support all Motorcycle Rights
Organizations on legislative matters (i.e., anti-biker discrimination,
anti-biker censorship issues regarding our "Colors," and anti-biker
federal gang bills, which are interpreted to include all bikers as
"gang members" or potential "terrorists"). We proudly wear a
"three-patch design," in order to dispell the myths and in some
cases,"traditions," that all "three-patch design," "biker's," "colors,"
and wearer's of those "three-patch designs" are "criminals." We are
not "criminals," we are not a "one-percenter" organization, and we do
not "prospect" members.
Lady Liberty MC engages in two distinct but complementary activities:
Visability. Through a variety of resources (everything from our
website, "colors," and merchadise), we seek to make its voice heard on
important legislative issues affecting constitutional rights and
freedoms.
Education. Through a variety of resources (everything from our website,
"colors," and merchadise), Lady Liberty MC seeks to reaffirm the plain
language imperatives of the US Constitution, relating it to
contemporary conflicts that cannot be allowed to erode or circumvent
it.
Based in Georgetown, Colorado, All rider enthusiasts, male and female,
from all walks of life, owning any make or model of any street worthy
bike (500 cc or greater), from beginner to professional rider; are
welcome here. You must be 18 years or older to ride with us. You
must ride a legally licensed and insured bike to ride with us. You must
have a motorcycle endorsement on your valid driver's license to ride
with us. It is also recommended that you have attended and passed a
Motorcycle Safety Course to ride with us. Lady Liberty MC is a
nonprofit, 501(c) Group -- That is, a nonprofit, tax-exempt groups
organized under section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code that can
engage in varying amounts of political activity. 501(c)(4) groups are
commonly called "social welfare" organizations that may engage in
political activities, as long as these activities do not become their
primary purpose. Lady Liberty MC relies on private financial support
from individuals, associations, foundations, and corporations. For
