i know he's re-signed for suzuki AMA next year at least.
anyone know if he's ever espressed any interest, even passing, in
trying his hand on the world stage?
anyone teams/factories express any interest, even passing, in his
results this season?

Enough, useless and slow yanks in MotoGp already...
Would want to be better than Bostrom in SBK too, to get a look in [not
likely]

Based on what one might speculate and his comments so far, my guess is
that he really didn't have any serious alternative to re-signing with
Yosh, and his deal is through 2008. He doesn't seem interested in WSB
as it is currently, and I doubt that the money there is very good - his
new contract may well pay him more than anyone in WSB today. He's said
it isn't worth going to GP if you don't have the right ride, and the
definition of that at its broadest is probably a factory team or Honda
support team ride on Michelins or Bridgestones. If you look at those
teams, who would have been talking to him? Certainly not Repsol or
Konica-Minolta or LCR or Suzuki, very unlikely Gresini or Camel Yamaha
or Marlboro Ducati or Kawasaki.
But he has talked about GP, although he doesn't seem in any rush to go
there. If he is ever to make that jump, it probably would have to be
for 2009 when his contract expires, because he'll be 24 then and both
Edwards and Roberts probably going or gone from GP. The other
possibility would be after next year, when Hopkins and Vermuelen are at
the end of their deals, if they don't deliver next year or are looking
to move elsewhere. But Suzuki hasn't ever shown much inclination to
move riders out of the national championship here, as evidenced by
Mladin.

And Schwantz.
