"Ben Spies to replace Capirossi for British GP"

>Leavin' on a jet plane I would assume...

This is the guy who hates to fly, yes?

But, as he says in that article, it'll be a 'no pressure' race for
him, and give him some familiarity of the bike, tyres and team before
the two US rounds, so I think it's a luckt break.

I can't see Capirex doing another season after this one, so Ben could
probably get comfy in that seat.

Ah, the inevitable Euro line. Should I ask, "this is the guy who likes
to play the piano, yes?" every time Toseland is mentioned?

Discussing the MGP situation, they suggest that it's Vermeulen who is
under fire now and may be on the way out. And Batta's overall contention
is that MGP is for GP riders (read: 125/250 EuroMeds) and SB guys (read:
Americans, Australians, Germans...) are better off staying out. There's
a lot unsaid in that suggestion, but it may well be a good one...

Since a reluctance to fly would seriously impact his ability to get to the
races,
it is a valid point to make. He can take a boat between Donington and Assen, but
Sepang to Valencia might be a bit harder to pull off. Toseland's piano playing
has no
affect on his racing or transportation.

Heh, I better question might be is how good/bad he can ride in the
rain, after all, it's at Donny...
