Hey guys
so it's not my purpose here to attack anybody or any way of thinking,
but I've been reading your recent posts after-portugal, and I've got a
stange taste left.
It's pretty funny how *one* accident has been enough to undermine
Nicky's confidence, and hear him whine and tell the world that his
chances of winning are over ("I've lost the chance of my life to win
the title").
What in the hell is over?
Nothing, at least when you look at the standings, and you count the
number of points left to get.
Considering by the way that Rossi is on an absolutely crap bike, and
that not only Nicky or Dani can finish before him, but even Marco,
Loris, Casey, or Tony and Junior, it really leave a good bunch of
chances to the kentucky rider, at least that's how I feel.
It is a clear demonstration that Nicky run the whole season thinking
about his "regularity tactics" (not that there's something necessarily
wrong in there), and now he knows that he's got to go out there and
finally try to beat the rest of the gang with a fine win.
Honestly, I didn't expect that "looser" commentaries after the accident
in Portugal, and I frankly don't understand them.

Dani.
Well he did really the move of his life here, no doubt about it. Must
stop smoking that suff, even if it seems pretty good ;-)
I think that it's not even the case to loose time in trying to analyse
his move, and how the accident occured...he just screw up, that's it.
Besides the fact that these guys are running on 240+hp bikes, with such
performances that it is probably difficult for all of us to understand
what really goes on the tracks, and how time and responses are on the
real edge.
Remember Nicky overtaking Dani just one lap before the accident, where
his honda started to dance a cha-cha on the rear then the front,
leaving Nicky up just by miracle.
It's a cutting edge on the limit category, and that's why it is so
beautiful...

Conspiracy and other bizarros.
When I read that sort of thought, I just can't believe it.
I mean, of course there are natural favouritisms in every team and
factories, like in Honda between Hayden and Pedrosa, but it's corporate
strategies, like in any other kind of race and/or business.
On the other hand, few have pointed on the fact that the first mistake
of HRC has been to create a team with *two* potential winning riders,
with no balance and no dirty worker (see Colin + Vale).
It is simply not possible to set a season strategy with two pilots of
that kind in a team.
An accident, a collision, simply *a problem* was just waiting behind
the corner, and this is the real, incredible mistake honda has made in
my opinion.
But please, let out those theories à la FoxNews, we've already plenty
of it in anything that goes on today...

{not really sure what I snipped}

Say what you want, but it's fairly obvious Mr. Nuesbaum has pretty much
center punched this whole deal and that my friend's is coming from his a
long time antagonist. If Noyes's column doesn't convince you, I'm fairly
certain nothing will, so believe what you need to validate whatever it is,
just don't call it a theory any more. It's a fact, Jack...

You are joking.

Why would it? Noyes freely states he's speculating, and his "I am afraid"
statement betrays his pro-Hayden bias.

Don't get me wrong, everybody is entitled to root for their riders with a
tad of an irrational feeling.

But they ought to admit to it when it comes to a rational and facts based
discussion on an issue where no one truly knows the whole deal.
