Good news, I've been hoping Hacker would get this ride, he really
deserves this one, and more than RL Hayden, who got the Kawi wildcard
last year, or Davies, who hasn't quite matched Rapp's performances this
year at Attack. And it's great that he's had two days on the bike
testing in Japan, so it won't be like Duhamel on the Gresini bike last year.

Just desserts, he's really done a great job over the last several years,
and not quite received the respect he deserves. He's outperformed Hayden
on the Kawi SB the last two years after getting snubbed for a Yamaha SB
ride after winning both SS championships in 2006. He's been on the
podium the last six SB races and in 10 of the last 17 races.

He's one of those guys who switched to roadracing too late, came into
the AMA too late, and didn't do enough right away to have any real shot
at the world championships. But oddly now at age 37 he might just have
that shot, having finished 2nd in both Miller SB races in front of the
WSB crowd and now having another opportunity on the world stage. And a
good result next week probably gives him some shot at a repeat
performance at Indy. With the DMG crisis shifting into the red zone,
he's probably one of the guys  looking for a possible WSB ride for next
year.

But, unlike buddy Speez, what are the chances he'll get through the
weekend without working through some bodywork on that bike?

Agreed..

"If" he shows well, and I believe he just might, it may help him snag
something outside AMA if that's what he wants, but given how many Yank
passport's are currently in MGP I would imagine his best shot would be
in WSB. Oh wait, he's prolly still got a Limey one too! Heh, two birds
with one stone?

Yeah, that might be the hook...
