A woman was slated to race in the 2009 Daytona 200.
I've seen her name listed variously as Melissa Paris, Melissa Hayes,
or Paris Hayes.
She was gonna be riding a Yamaha, number plate 413.
Anyone know if she qualified, and if she did, in what position did she
qualify?
I did see her listed as Melissa Paris in practice, with best practice
lap time of 1:54.581
I'd sure like to know how she qualified, and GOOGLE hasn't produced
the results for me.

Her name is Melissa Paris, but she's actually Josh Hayes' wife. They
race together quite a bit in various endurance series and whatnot and
she also races in CCS. She likely qualified for a Pro license by
winning the CCS national championship last year (by winning the single
Race Of Champions event at Daytona).
I have no idea what her qualifying times are this week. Do they even
have a cutoff percentage for the D200 this year?

She qualified 38th (of 75) and finished 22nd. She also beat her
husband.
Not bad, for her first "pro" race.
