Wouldn't call the stance overly aggressive. Ruled out the BMW K bike was
also looking at then mainly because it was much more aggressive. Now that
you mention it, did put 1.5" set backs on the bars. Wasn't really bad but
planned to keep the bike for a long time. Wrists never got sore. Had some
trouble with them going to sleep if I forgot to relax and work the muscles
once in a while. Neck angle wasn't a problem even stock. Footpeg position is
good for me.
Have never noticed any suspension being uncomfortable. Have always just set
up for best handling. Considering the weight of the ST it has to be leaning
more toward touring than sport. Accidentally rode the Dragon taking a
shortcut from the Cherohalla Skyway to Knoxville and the wife didn't crap so
can't really complain about the handling though. I've put back to back
400mile days on it without memorable pain.

Nobody knows or cares what yer used to.
Buy a Mustang... Seat!
Even my Harley FLHTI, on a 8k mile tour from coast to coast and back,
the stock seat sucked!

My 2000 Goldwing stock seat was pretty good. I drove a one month 8300 mile
trip across the country to Utah and back and drove some long hours on the
freeways. Also, my Venture stock seat is even better for all day runs with
no discomfort.
My Volusia was so bad I couldn't sit on it for more than 1/2 hour. The
mustang seat I bought was a world of difference.
I'm getting old (67) and have less padding in my butt now.
