Hi,
I am an older biker 50 plus and now would like to give up riding sports
bikes and
change to a touring type bike like the Honda ST1100 and wonder if anyone new
of a site or news group or even a club dedicated to this bike.
I am hoping to find a low mileage well looked after bike with perhaps only
one or two owners, well I can dream, can't I.
Cheers.

Honda Sport Touring Assc(HSTA) isn't 1100 specific but might be worth
checking out. Google for it.
IIRC have only seen one ST that didn't look well cared for. Haven't been
looking for another ST but wouldn't be surprised if the 1300 sport tourers
wouldn't have made some 1100s available. Low mileage on an ST would probably
closer to the GW than the average sport bike, IMHO.

Howz about a nice '03 Harley FLHTI, with about 13K miles on the clock?
It's black!
It's stock, and was ticketed with the rider aboard(me) doing 96 MPH for
a while trying to get "home", while from vegas to carson city.
I was just doing a cruise from NJ to NV and back.
I am 50 years of age as well.

I'm in the 50+ club too. Best tour on the ST so far: OH to the Smokies,
CheraHallow (sp?) Skyway, the Dragon, up&down the Cumberland Gap overlook
and an awesome ride on some twisties that went through VA. Two up. This, I
think, is what the sport tourer is for. Two up optional of course. Love WV
too.

(laughing) you "kids" only in your 50's.
Just finished my summer cruise on my Vulcan 1500 Nomad. approximatly
3,000 miles. Austin Texas, Bozeman Montana, Spokane Wshington,
Seattle, Portland, San Jose, Phoenix, Salt Lake then home to Texas.
Dd I mention I'm 62 YO with replacement hips, rebuilt back and other
assorted replacement parts? Basicly a repeat of a trip I did in 1974
on old H1 500 CC 2 stroke Kawasaki. Coarse I was a lot more spry back
then.
Ya'll need to get out and do some "serious" rideing.
