197? Bonnevile 750

 

Can you help identify the year of this Bonneville 750?

I purchased the bike new in the mid to late '70s from Broward
Motorsports in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  I paid for it with my credit
card.  I gave it to a member of the family in about 1984 or 1985.  I
last saw it in 1995 - it was in pretty good condition then.

My sister recently sent me these photos.  I almost could not believe
it was the same bike.  It looks as good as the day I rode it out of
the dealers showroom!  But for the life of me, I can not remember what
frigging year the darn thing is.

I'm just getting old and I can't remember shit anymore.  I'd
appreciate your help to ID the year of this bike.
