It is if it was driven 18,000k with no oil in the crankcase, ho ho.
If the owner took good care of it, should be on his fourth oil and
filter change, ask to see the owners manual to see if the dealer
stamped it at 6,000 miles or 1 year, 12,000 or 2 years (that's the
warranty period) then he's 1000 miles out of warranty. I have 6000
miles on my '04 Speedmaster (bought it new in April, 2006- a left over)
and have not had one problem, nothing!!

despite that x characters bad mouthing, yamay does make
excellent bikes. every motor vehicle extant has made machine
with problems at one time or another. look at detroit's cold
blooded accounting when they decide if it's cheaper to pay
for people killed by a mechanical fault or cheaper to fix
it.
i suspect that the bitter x guy had a bad expirience with a
yamay. he seems a bit rabid about it, but in truth, yamay is
no worse thatn other makers. carefully research some of
hondas contretemps!
i like bikes, there are no absolutes on good or bad....

Well. I would recomend you get the bike serviced yourself when you and if
you buy it.
I bought my sprint exec98 with around the same ammount of mileage, just
about in perfect nick.
Alot of spares are readily available for trophies so you won't have a hard
life finding parts.
I would get the seat off and check where the fairing is bolted to the frame,
more often than not some fool has overtightened the nut and cracked the
fairing.
Take the luggage off and inspect the area behind for any cracks, near the
number plate(hint)
These may give you opportunity to haggle on price.....
Inspect the chain and sprockets for wear and care, crappy chain and worn
sprokets could mean a further price reduction and give you an indication on
how well it's been looked after.
Take the beast for a burn, say 20minutes, checking it moves through the
gears well and accelerates smoothly. ofcourse you can stop and check all the
electrics while you're halfway round.  This gives you the opportunity to
inspect the bike without someone giving you all the blag.  You'lld be amazed
at what you can find.
Check out triump rat website, this should give you a lowdown on what to
expect form triumph bikes.
