I have a 1966 Triumph 650 TT. The problem I have had for 30 years is it
shears off the kick start pins. I know this is a very high compression
engine and it has a mean kick back when starting it. Anyway I was talking
so someone the otherday and he told me there was a way to stop these pins
from failing. He claimed that there was a kit but I can't seem to find any
info about that. Does anyone know anything about this problem or how to fix
it.
thanks

Try sourcing a stainless steel replacement - can't be too difficult to turn
one if you have access to a lathe
