I have a 1967 Triumph TR6 and I can't get it to start. It does not get
a spark from the plugs. I put new points, coils, plugs and wires on
but still nothing. I don't see any lose wires or coroded connections.
Can anyone give me any ideas on what I should check. Thanks for any
help.

hello James you could try looking at the back of the ignition key switch to
make sure a wire has not come off, also try the cut out switch if it has
one,. As a last resort you can hot wire the bike,,, make a length of wire
with a croc clip on 1 end and a female spay on the other. do this quick
mind! Connect the spay to the LIVE side of the coils clip the crock to the
live side of the battery. That will bypass everything to do with the
ignition and hopefully you will get a spark the points. If you don't take
the wires off the negative side of the coil and brush it quickly to earth.
if it sparks that means its the points. Failing that you could get some salt
from the wall mart some spoons from the kitchen, then sprinkle a ring of
salt around the bike. Stand on 1 foot bang the spoons together and ask the
Triumph gods to let your bike work. Hop around the bike chanting good things
about Triumph bikes. Then try the wiring again.... Hope this works... If not
I will catch up with you in the funny farm....
