Put a sick relatives 98 TBird up for auction on ebay. A dealer bid in last
few seconds and won. He came to pick it up and refused to buy it cos the oil
pressure light was glowing. He looked through the manual and pointed to the
section on oil pressure warning lights 'which said get it checked over.
Could cost many hundreds £'s he said. I knew very little about the bike so
just took his word that it was in need of a engine and pressure pump check.

So the bike has just come back from the £500 checkover and blow me the oil
pressure light still glows after the dealer told me all was well in this
department.

After a little head scratching yesterday I removed the light bezel only to
find the oil pressure light was not on at all but it was ambient light from
the very bright neutral gear light. I fired up the engine, knocked it into
first and all the lights went out.

Also the non paying dealer never sat on the bike but just fiddled with the
choke after me only just firing it up and then said it don't tick over very
well...........another no brainer in my view. So much for
experts..............they know sweet FA......he should have surely known
more.

Its now back up for sale...........
