Just had a ride on one of these. Had it as a loaner while my Sprint RS was
in for a service.
Handling is a little bit slow compared to my Sprint, but it goes round
corners well enough. Engine responds well (sounds good too) and has
sufficient poke to cruise at 80 or 90 without any difficulty.
Only two criticisms I can find with it. The front brake is a little wooden
and lacking in feel, but not nearly as wooden as the seat. I've sat on
planks of wood which were more comfortable and after a few miles, my arse
had as much feeling in it as the front brake!!!!!
All in all though, a cracking little bike and seriously good fun.

I liked my test ride, as well. I fund the seat more comfortable, but I
like harder seats. It was one of the three bikes on my list for a new ride.
I just got rid of my '01 Sprint RS after three years of excellent
service -- grand machines -- for a 1050 Speed Triple...a surprisingly
comfortable bike for longer rides. Just not much in the way of places
to hang bags.

A friend of mine's girlfriend just got one of these things - she loves
it.. Rode it all the way from Boston to Chicago in only a few days, if
you can believe the hurt her ass was feeling.
Only issue she had with it was that the seat was a little high up..
But got a new seat and thinks the thing is great. Of course it's zippy
- it has the same engine as the America/Speedmaster/Thruxton!
