I am thinking about buying a Triumph Speedmaster or Triumph America and
I was looking for feed back from people who already own one, and if
they are happy with them or if they have had problems, I would also
like to know what they are like on a long run with th foreward foot
controls. The dealers over here will only let you take them for a
short ride and it is had to get a good idea on what they are like after
only riding it for 20 min or so.

I bought a new Speedmaster in April and a friend got a new America
about a month later. I just took mine in for it's 6000 mile service (so
that's 6000 miles in 100 days). I have had no poblems at all, neither
has he. I occassionally move the handle bars up or down, that's it. If
gone on two road trips, about 600 miles each and it was a great ride. I
like to take the back roads at like 45-50 MPH but if need be it cruises
all day at 75 to 90 MPH. I'd highly recommend the Speedmaster- alloy
wheels and tubeless tires. Get a windshield (I think) it's free with
the $500.00 free parts.

I am also considering a Speedmaster. Any idea how much the dealers will
move during negotiation? How close will they stay to the MSRP?
