Any one had problems with a steering wobble on their trophy 1200
It used to be at slow speeds that when you let go of the bars for a
second the handlebars started to oscolate turning violent, untill you
grabed them again. Got a new front tyre but it is still doing it. at
higher speeds now.
do I just tighten the steering , and if so where do I get a spanner
that thin? thanks in advance anyone

I had the same problem with a '70 Bonny I used to own. I had the local
dealer send the whole wheel out for balancing and that fixed the problem.

Make sure you have the correct nut size and buy a cheap spanner that you
can grind down to fit the gap. Either use a bench grinder or clamp it
down in a vice and have at it with a disk grinder. A milling machine and
a chunk of leaf spring would be ideal.

Yeah, check the wheel is balanced and you have the right ammount of pressure
in the tyre. I know when my tyres are low, the bike will drift. As for any
violent crap, it's more than likey the balancing of the tyre, or could it be
your wheel bearing, that would be a nice place to start looking.
Let us know how you get on!!!!
