Bought a 1993 Seca II about 2 weeks ago with only 8000 miles on it,
he owner said it's been sitting in his garage for the past 12 months.

Here's basically what I did so far:
Change oil & oil filter
Change Air Filter
Change Fuel in the tank and the Fuel Filter
Change Spark plugs ( can see spark on all 4 - not too big )
Cleaned the carb ( the shop did it and they replace all screws )

I tried starting it, it turns over but the engine wouldn't start :( --
petcock at "on" "pri" and "res" tried it all :)

That's pretty much what I did soo far, what else do you think could
be the problem ?

could it be the piston got stuck ?

Btw it seem the clutch doesn't work properly, cause when I put gear
1 and press the clutch and try to start the bike, the bike jumps.

Thanks

Not good. This almost always indicates it will have a fuel problem.

All good, but you might recheck the carb(s) and your job on the tank.
There may be sediment or a filter in the tank that you missed.

What were the indications? Started then died, backfired, or no indication
of fire. Define "wouldn't start".

Check for fuel in the carb bowl(s) by loosening the bowl drain screw. When
you have it correct, fuel will flow out. Try "pri" first. If no fuel
there, then check for a block between the tank and the bowl. Probably the
float valve in the carb, possibly a fuel filter.

Any gas engine is basically a vacuum pump.  If it pumps and you have some
sort of reasonable fuel/air mixture and spark, it will fire.  Might not
start, but it will fire or sometimes backfire.

Nope. Not if it "turns over". Check compression to determine the health of
the "pump".

Get the engine working first and then worry about other problems. My
old Virago always "jumps" when I put it in gear.

Yipeee i got it running :) it turns out that i forgot to tighten all
the Spark plugs. so after i tighten em, and pressing the start a little
bit longer, it started the engine :) and i'm soo happy, now it runs
nicely, just need a little bit more oil.

it seem that inside the oil level ( the indicator ) is completely gone
( no more oil between min and max ), is it suppose to do that ?? or
that means i need more engine oil ?

Thanks a lot LittleJohn: i check everything like u said before and i
found out about the spark plug when i check the compression inside the
combustion chamber ( i put my thumb covering the spark plug hole ). and
realize the spark plug isn't tight.

Thanks a lot guys
