I've seen someone who has come up with a hot start kit to replace battery
cables and other components. Does anyone have information on where I can
find this. Google search has returned lots of things, but nothing like what
I am looking for.

Visit www.venturerinder.org and do a search for hot start. Someone there was
selling the 4 gauge replacement cables. with the proper ends on them. Easy
to do. I did it on my 1985 1st gen Venture and never had a hot start problem
again.
