The old carbs were all gummed up so we replaced them with a rack from
E-bay.
Rack seems to be very clean and the engine runs smooth when it's not
flooded.
The problem seems to be.. When i turn the ignition on the fuel pump
does not run, as soon as i start cranking the pump kicks on (i assume
it's detecting the pressure drop). I fairly rapidly start getting fuel
out of all 4 bowl overflows. If i remove the power from the pump the
overflow substantially reduces. When cranking the engine fuel pulses
out of the overflow (with the pump disconnected from power).
Is there a fuel pressure problem out of the pump or....?
Any ideas appreciated.
