i've used hjc's for 40 years and they've always kept the
coconut safe. i've ridden trials and have fallen off.
shoei are overpriced but good.
never liked arai...poor fit and they don't seem well made.

Do some research. The bottom line is buy the best you can afford that
fits well.

That's great advice, as long as we all remember that "the best you can
afford" doesn't necessarily mean "the most expensive you can afford."
In terms of protecting heads, the helmet that took the top honors in
Motorcyclist Magazine's tests last year beat out helmets that sold for more
than six times its price.
