Does anyone happen to know the output of the charging system on the 2005
FJR1300? I found mention of a 50A main fuse. So if its putting out 14v it
would put it around 700w (600w at 12v). Does this sound right?

It's spec'd at 490W at 5K rpm.
Most folks think you have somewhere around 200W to play with and still
maintain an adequate reserve to charge the battery. If you think you're
going to be pressing the limit, installing a voltmeter is a good idea.

Thanks... Short of heated vests, grips, and pants, I should be well within
the 200watt range.
