Hi All,

Sorry to be asking such an "easy" one but my Haynes manual hasn't arrived
from the Ebay "seller" yet ...

I've just picked up a '91 FZR 600 Genesis and got it started but it was
smoking a bit and pumping a bit of oil up the breather ... too much oil I
thought ... OH YES - I've just drained over 2 gallons of oil out of it !!!

Does anyone have the correct oil spec and quantity?

atb

sounds like some of the clowns that have sr's. they think
the frame tank empty cold means add oil. i've pulled similar
amounts out of sr's when thier owners wondered why it
gurgles when they kicked it over.
the info should be with google...try it?

tried Google but no joy (lots of American refs but nothing sensible ....)

hopefully my ebay manual should be with me today ...

later

<snip>

hmmm ... still no manual and I'm itchin' to give it a thrash!

however - I got it started with the air box off the t'other day ... having
now put it back on it refuses to start - ARGHHH

fuel is getting to the carbs and I've got nice fat sparks from the HT
leads - the only bits I haven't checked are the plugs which are horribly
buried and an odd size for my archaic toolbox ...

what size socket do I need for them and is it just the radiator that needs
to come off to gain access ?

and if anyone knows jim0304 tell him to send my manual asap!

cheers in advance

Steve
