Hello NG...

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a different handlebar
setup on the above mentioned machine, other than the standard one...

The reason why I ask, is that i would like a little more space between
the gastank and the handlebarends. Since im a little big for the 535 at
almost 6 feet my knees tend to get in a little too close contact when
the standard handlebar is in its extreme positions...

Any inputs is welcome :-)

Regards,

Johnny.

I replaced mine with an  'almost flat' bar.  Much nicer to ride now feels
better in corners too.  The only thing you will have to look for is the
angle of the fluid chamber on the brake cylinder.

Thx for the response GaZ...

I'm currently looking for bars much like you describe...but I'm
concerned about the width. The ones I'm looking at have a width of app.
100 cm., in a straight line across from tip to tip of the bar. However
my regular dealer insists that a bar like that won't make any difference
from the standard one. So could I ask you to take a measurement of your
bar for comparison? That would really help me out :-)

Abort the brake cylinder: You are thinking about possible replacement of
the cabel, right?

Thx in advance,

Regards,

Johnny.

I used 'brace bars' off a motor cross type and removed the brace.  The
chrome clamps also came in handy for mounting spot lights on my engine bars.
