I have a Yamaha R-6 1999 model. The oil indicator light and the sign
(both) on the odometer are blinking, so filled the recommended yamaha
engine oil. I think the oil level now is above the high level. Still
both the indicator light and symbol are the blinking, what should i do?

1) Don't drive it! Although I do not believe the pressure is actually down.
That you would be able to hear as you'd have no lubrication of the valves
and that does not sound nice :-)
2) Have the oil pressure sensor tested. I believe that's where the fault is.
3) If your oil pressure sensor is OK, it can only be a wiring fault in
terms, most possibly a ground or at the sensor.

Good luck,

The light on the R-6 is an oil level indicator, not a pressure indicator. If
the oil level is okay, check the sensor wiring. If all wires are connected
and there are no corroded connections, replace the sensor.

You can easily check the oil level by holding the bike upright on a level
surface, remove and wipe the dipstick located near the clutch cover,
re-insert the dipstick up to the threads, remove it again and look to see
where the top of the oil is on the dipstick. BTW, too much by a half quart
is much worse than a half quart low.
