500 watt speaker magnets. Hmm. I didn't know that magnet strength was
measured in watts. Oh! You meant magnets from 500w speakers? Oh, now I
know what you mean! Hey, when you got new tires for your motorcycle,
were you sure to specify 100 hp tires? :p ;-) }: )

This is all pretty funny really.
If the intersection was using a OLD magnatometer the magnet WOULD work.....
Most intersections use a RF coil that is sitting close to 150Khz. It's
detuned by steel or a large amount of aluminum.
In plain and simple english.....MAGNETS DO NOT WORK!!
Safetran loop detectors do not care about a MAGNETIC field.But your going to
believe what you want. :)
I mean..what the fuck do *I* know, even after working on traffic signal
controllers (Type 170) for many years....
