Go with the R6, it only weighs 351 pounds and has over 118 horsepower,
where the CBR only has 108 horsepower and weighs in around 370 pounds.
The R6 is hands down better machine. I am a salesman at a shop that
sells both Honda and Yamaha, if that helps any.

I have a 2002 R6, I love it - it just feels like a better bike when you're
riding it. I had a older CBR, nothing comparable to a 2003, but I'm a
yamaha fan now...

Same here, I've owned several CBR600s and now have an 05 R6. It's not fair
to compare the R6 to the older CBRs but I did buy the R6 for a reason and
that was based on a number of reviews.
