I've driven all kinds of different scoots for 30 years as well, have
been down, airborne, but mostly a light lay.....All scoots are not the same....

For instance a hi-scooter like a Honda CH250 has no *Centrifuge* for
jack, and relies on the drivers balance all the time, because of it's
height......I drove one for 15 years, and it's not like it's brother the Helix
cn250 at all.....more like a reflex.

Changing to the Maj400, I noticed it doesn't like to be over ruled, but
will bear with your contentions. As for leaning in turns, push/pull stuff, I
argue that, depending on your riding position on a PTW...if your a hi-ride, you
have control, front weight , but are more vulnerable to crosswind effects. I
just defacto standard *stay straight* on the leans or straighten it out to a
point, I don't drive it like a CBR/RX7 at 150mph.....it's not the same thing but
has typical aspects.

As for leaning into a turn, it's OK depending on road conditions....dry
sand/pavement/concrete and I usually opt for the keeping straight on the
bike....but it all depends on the velocity, persons height/weight, weather
conditions, and the Givi add-ons Config, that the crosswinds may drift your
front bubble, etc...

If you ride it low/in, below the rear wheel, you have less agility, but
much more stability,  road report and you tend to point it and cruise, rather
than sweat work a fancy ride the thing.

I carry a large light backpack, feel the crosswinds on the hi seat, but
the low seat will do very adequately...in city or hi-way...since I am short,
like 5.5 ft, and the Maj was made for a 5'10" standard, we all have different
riding configuratins/methods

I used to bungee tie things down on other scoots, but the Maj lacks
bungee cord grasps so a backpack is the most convenient, financial  alternative,
or under the passenger seat flat straps......

As far as dolling out for  Givi add-ons, can  makesthe Magesty as kooky
as a full dressed Gold Wing for me and the crosswinds in  some road systems are
a real struggling trip sometimes....taking you away from the weird world of some
small scooter drivers doing wheelies and stoppies, or  just better city dogin,
parking lot,  maneuverability.

The Maj400 is the best *ride* to configure for all situations and a vast
assortment of people shapes, and driving habits.

Yamaha Virago (motorcycle) but it was too heavy for me and I hated messing with
a clutch and gears, so I'm selling it. The second time I rode it, I dropped it,
and was scared of it ever since. I didn't want to give up 2 wheels so I got the
scooter.

|>>
|>> So, (I might as well jump right in here) I bought the scooter. I've ridden
it three times, and yesterday a shot of fear rushed thru me as I came up to a
rural stop sign. The vision of me dropping that mc flashed thru me, and guess
what? I dropped the scooter. Now, I need to get over this (obviously) or give it
up. What the hell's wrong with me?

|>>
|>> Well, to finish the story, I couldn't lift it up, and waited for someone to
come along. Tail between my legs, I agreed I needed help, and a super nice guy
helped me get it up. So what do I do? I looked at the scratches, on the bike
that had been "mint" and started crying. *sigh* I did drive it home.

|>>
|>> I really want to keep this bike, and a 400 cc. First of all, I just bought
it. Second, eventually want to be able to keep up with my friends who have
motorcycles. I know it will take time for me to get my confidence back up in
order to ride with them, but I want to, even if it takes me all summer.
