I hoping someone knows the unbiased answer.

Are there any adjustments that have to be made to this bike
every time you take it in for service? I was told that the
valves had to be adjusted everytime on the scheduled
maintenance intervals. (4,000 miles) Is this true. Or is
this suggested but not required.

It's true. You also have to take a bunch of stuff off to change the
oil filter. Gotta love the V-Star 1100.

Tim:

For the 650 i believe the answer is no. Certain things like oil filter can
be done with minimal hassle.

I would recommend checking out this other group that has far more
technically adept people in it that can answer almost any Vstar question.
