Hi
I recently bought a great Yamaha Virago XV750 from 1992. It came with
saddlebags mounted, and now I would like to remove them, in order to
clean the bike properly and to see if I like it better without.
But I have not been able to find any info on the web about how to
remove the bags, and looking at the bike I can't seem to find the
"magical" screw. I can only see, that I need to remove the saddle
first, but how is that done?
Many thanks in advance
Lasse.

The XV-750D was a US model, European models may vary. The side covers come
off with a firm pull, and the seat is held down by two bolts near the front.

How coincidental. About two hours ago, I was reading about the history of the
kingdom of Navarra during the Protestant Reformation and how the royal family
was forced to flee because Navarra wouldn't join the Holy League. That was
when my Basque ancestors became Huguenots in France.

Thanks a lot, just the info I needed to move on. I found no variation
on my European model.

you can get exact info on that by joining one of the yahoo
or google groups named for the virago.
