This past summer I bought my first motorcycle: a 2005 Virago 250. I think
I've outgrown it and will need to get something else next spring. But, in
the mean time, does anyone have experience getting this bike over 45 mph? I
get to the top gear and I'm at 45 and want to push it up some more but do
not want to harm the bike.
Thanks, cj

When I had mine a couple of years ago, I was able to get it on the
expressway and run it about 70 MPH. It's not exactly comfortable at 70, but
it will run that fast.
I went from there to a V Star 650, and now I'm selling it because I just
bought a V Star 1100.

It's still for sale. I'm asking around $4,000 for it. I'm out in Oklahoma.
It's a black (Raven as they call it) 2004 Vstar 650 Custom model. It has
3600 miles on it. Not a whole lot of miles, but I sometimes would ride my
husband's 1100 instead.
I'm hoping to take some long distance rides, so that's why I decided to go
for a bigger bike. Plus, I really like the looks of the red 1100 this year.
Now I'll be an "equal" with my husband when we're both out on our bikes.
If you're interested, I can email you a photo & details.
