Wondering if there are any tall (6 foot 3 inch) or taller riders out there.
I'm considering buying an FJR1300 Yamaha for my long distance riding, and my
concern is that I'll get cramped up on long rides. I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall
and wear jeans with a 36 inch inseam.
Any tall guys with an FJR1300 that can comment?
Thanks

I'm 6'2" and 235 lbs. I've had my FJR1300 for 2 years and find it the most
comfortable sport-touring bike I've ever owned. The vertically extended
handle bars seem to be made for a taller rider. I highly recommend the
bike.

Thanks for the feedback Jason, I really like the bike but just want to make
sure that I'll be comfortable on it as I intend it's use to be long range
riding. Did you stay with the stock seat or get the factory touring seat?
Thanks

I would say give the stock seat a try.. I have the stock seat, and its
pretty comfy.

I agree. The only reason I opted for the Yamaha "Ergonomic" seat (Corbin
Canyon) is because my wife wouldn't get on the bike a second time until she
had a backrest. (I may have driven a bit too enthusiastically that first
time.) The ergo seat was the quickest and easiest way for me to get that
done in time for a trip we had planned.
I personally thought the original seat was quite good, although in a little
over 12,000 miles, I've had no reason to regret the Corbin/Yamaha
replacement.
