Any thoughts on tire selection for a 2005 FJR1300? Mainly commuting....
rain or shine. How many miles can I expect out of a set of tires on a bike
this heavy?

Trey, Try posting or searching
http://p083.ezboard.com/bfjr1300ownersassociation . There are tons of other
good forums for FJRs as well. Just Google for "FJR1300 forum".

Macadams go well on my 1300, although bt020's are also supposed to be good.

I've put the Dunlop 220s on the xjr and they are excellent. I had
previously used avon azaros, which were also good and I would think a
very good option for the FJR, especially against macadams.

The Bantam
XJR1200SP, FZR1000ExUp(1), FZR1000ExUp(2), XS750SF
and loads before those . . . . .

How many miles are you getting out of your tires? Does the front last longer
then your rear? I have heard a lot of touring guys get two rears out of
every front.
I am hoping to wear out the tires I have now in the next two or three months
so I can have fresh, deep tread ready for the rain season.
