My Vstar 650 seemed not getting enough gas while cruising anywhere
within the range of 40 MPH and above. This happened after the dealer
replaced the intake box with Kuryakin Hypercharger along with HD
Hardchrome slip on pipes. I think the new intake came with a jet kit
and I’m sure they also installed that. I talked to the dealer who
installed the parts and told him that I will be taking the bike back.
I am convinced it needs bigger jets but I could be wrong. I rechecked
all connectors and vaccum lines for proper installation but everything
was connected. Any help, or suggestions?

Sounds like your jetting is bad. Did you try to pull in the choke when it
starts cutting out?

What exhaust are you running, and what are your exact jetting settings? If
the dealer installed the jetting as per the Hypercharger instructions, the
bike will run like crap. For some reason, Kuryakyn supplies new pilot jets
as well as main jets. The Kury pilot jets should NOT be used!! Your best bet
is to surf over to http://forums.delphiforums.com/sgmfa/messages and post a
message. The guys there will get you running right!
