The small battery on the Virago only just seems to be powerful enough to
fire up a 535. Even when the battery was new (and fully charged) it was not
exactly good and now winter is here it struggles a bit sometimes.
Are there any better quality batteries that anyone knows of perhaps with a
higher amp/hr rating like you can get for cars.
Also came across Gel batteries the other day. Don't know much about them.
Are they any good and what advantages, if any, do they have over 'normal'
wet batteries.
Thanks
Andy

Give these folks a try. Dunno if Westco has a battery for the 535 - it may
depend on the year. But if they do, you can't get much better, or a better
buy.

what kind of battery do you have now?
Yuasa is suppose to be pretty good and two other things to try is call a
dealership for your bike and ask to speak with someone in the parts
department and tell them what kind of battery you have and ask if they
can give a list of factory approved replacements (every dealership I
know of has this list and its for in case they don't have a factory one
in stock they don't make a poor guy wait a few days to get a replacement
in for him) or they may be able to tell you where you can get a
replacement .
