I bought my 2006 R6 at the beginning of May. I've babied this thing and
haven't wrecked or dropped it as of yet.

Somehow though I've gotten two cracks on my tail section of my back
near the rear seat. It seems my tail-light is popping out and has
caused stress on the rear section causing it to crack. The cracks are
on the exact same place on both sides, so I'm wondering will my dealer
try and get this covered under warranty? Again, you can take a look at
the bike and see there is no other damage to the rear for this to be
happening...

Thanks!

no, not under warranty
yes, consumer legislation requires supplier to supply "fit for its purpose"

I would still call them and tell them what is going on with it!
You may catch them on a good day!  If not, contact my friends at
www.sumofallparts.net and ask for Donovan. Tell him Scott Wood sent
you. He will prob give you a doscount on a new faring!

I spoke with the Yamaha Service guy at a cycle shop last weekend (not
where I purchased my bike) and he said that there is a change they'll
cover it since the light seems to be falling out causing the problem.
Also said it's obvious the bike hasn't been dropped or wrecked so they
might cover it...
