Recently I had a collapsed thrust bearing in my XJ600N.

Mileage at the time was just below 30k, naturally I had to clean a lot
of swarf off the inside of the clutch cover but thought the bearing
looked quite dry.

Anyway, replaced the bearing and been fine for a couple of months but
again I have a problem with the clutch, lot of rattling from the case so
I think the bearing may have collapsed again.

Until I get the case off I don't know but I have looked at the manual
and can't find any description of the clutch lubrication, I thought it
was just splash lubrications; can anyone enlighten me otherwise.

What year? Is it a Seca II?

Well, give it some clearance, mate.

Yamaha seems to have run oil pressure through the hollow transmission main
shaft from what I can see by look at Seca II drawings.
