Hey Everyone
Having a problem with the starter on my 1994 Yamaha Virago XV1100
When I try the starter first thing in the morning it will just click for
10 or 15 times, then would turn over and start for the rest of the day
just fine. recently it would not start at all so I removed the left side
cover to the solinoid , pushed it by hand and it turned over perfectly
for the rest of the day and then went back to the 10 to 15 clicks before
starting.
Today I just loosened the cover very slightly and sure enough it worked
fine the rest of the day. The inside of the cover has NO marks or
scratches of any kind on it so I dont think its hitting. the gasket was
crunched up in it , could the clearance make a differance.
any suggestions or comments on this problem would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you
Vince

Check all your cableconnection from batteri-starterrelai-startermotor. When
the relai clicks, is the light in instruments "going down" ? If not, you
have bad connection in the circut.
