It happened on a financial (stock) account I obtained more than ten years
ago, before the current age requirement. There was a glitch on the account
that suddenly showed I was 2 years old and Yahoo requested I prove I was
not two by giving them a credit card number or they would close the
account. It didn't just happen to me. Many people were given the same
ultimatum.
I offered other proof, such as copy of birth certificate, drivers license,
or military retirement form, and they refused. After one month, they
closed the account.
I feel my responsibility is to warm Yahoo users. There it ends. If you get
screwed later on, I could care less, because that's your responsibility.

I for one have been the owner/moderator of a yahoo group (now with more than
160 participants) for years and have not the slightest idea where you are
getting your off-the-wall ideas about yahoo from.
