Odd my T-500 ran just about everything BUT castor oil (because it wont run
through the injectors) No Yamalube or oils bought at bike shops... Never a
problem with the pump working. Granted many years later it shit the #1 cylinder
due to my NOT keeping up on scheduled top end maintence. Plead being a dumb
teenager when it happened and am still semi-shocked that just by listening to it
run when dad came home I knew a) what was wrong and b) which cylinder was toast.

History does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational
basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the
unknown without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and
spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from
fiddling with it.

I've had a number of Yamaha 2-strokes, and the only Yamalube they saw was
that which came from the factory.  I've always used Castrol, also used it on
Ski-Doo snowmobile with oil injector.

That sounds like sales talk to me.  I've had every trouble there is, but
none of it involved using the "wrong" oil.
