1981 Yamaha DT100H
gas pouring outta carb.  replaced the needle valve assembly.  float has no
gas in it. with float chamber body off i can press upward on the float and
the flow stops. so i tried bending the flap on the float that contacts the
needle valve.  still leaks. ??????? thanks in advance.

did you check to see if it matched factory specs for adjustment?
sorry for being captain obvious, but.

it came on the bike from the factory. was working fine. just been sitting up
for years.

ok, but after taking the carb apart and making sure it's squeaky clean, reset
it.
the gas we've gotten in the past 20 odd years is shit and turns to crap in as
little as a month. so clean the carb. if it's been sitting for more than a
couple of years, i would get a rebuild kit.
at the same tims, to save future problems, clean the petcock and check inside
the tank.
water in gas=RUST.

thanks.  done all of the above except rebuild kit.  been looking for a
complete carb (new or rebuilt) on the net with no luck. actually, i had carb
"professionally" cleaned and i cleaned and refinished the tank.  appreciate
the input.
